Environmental Service Tech

Description Cleans and disinfects surfaces of the hospital to ensure an aseptic environment and to prevent healthcare-associated infections using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Maintains all furniture, floors, ceilings/ light fixtures, vents, walls, carpets, elevators, stairwells, doors, windows, occupied and unoccupied patient rooms. Heavy cleaning, carpet care, and assisting in laundry. Requirements Ability to follow instructions and follow procedures and standards. Stand/walk 6-8 hours. Bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach, lift, push, pull, carry. Lift up to 50 pounds. Follow body and blood exposure procedures as well as other precautions set in place. Handles multiple priorities, managers anger/fear/hostility. Manages stress appropriately. Works alone efficiently. Works in close proximity to others and/or distracting environment. Must be excellent in customer service. Must be flexible and able to help others. Keep a safe space and environment. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees. Ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
