Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme's focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder's original recipe. The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.
Our Krispy Kreme Demand Planner supports the Demand Planning process for Krispy Kreme. You will develop processes, tools, reports, and provide data analytics to support Krispy Kreme's supply chain strategic initiatives for our shops and fresh delivery business.
The Demand Planner will be responsible for generating the item-location demand plan that will drive down stream supply chain and financial planning activities. The goal of this position is to continuously drive sales, customer service and minimize returns and waste while simultaneously reducing raw and finished goods inventory through accurate forecasting. The role will be responsible for proactive collaboration across, sales, marketing, finance and supply planning. Key to this role will be anticipating and understanding the needs of different stakeholders across the company relative to forecasting, turning assumptions into actionable plans and providing insight into demand drivers to leadership.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Develop and maintain forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation over a rolling 12-18 month planning horizon.
- Analyze historical shipment trends, consumption trends, customer inventory data, and demand assumptions to develop and refine the demand forecast.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to investigate forecast variances and refine forecasting models based on updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure demand forecasts reflect current and accurate business assumptions.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate short- and long-range demand plans to customers and shop operations while serving as a key communication point for supply and service constraints.
- Track forecast KPIs including bias, accuracy, waste, and cost, and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate demand planning activities supporting growth initiatives, innovation, cost reduction, operational efficiency improvements, and waste reduction efforts.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field (Supply Chain, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or relevant degree) or equivalent training and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand, supply, merchandise, retail, or sales planning, preferably within a CPG or food industry environment.
- High proficiency using demand planning systems such as Oracle Demand Management Cloud, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, or similar forecasting platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify demand trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and data analysis is critical for success in this role.
- Experience with Power BI dashboard development, reporting, and data visualization preferred, including the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and acting like an owner to meet compliance regulations.
- Contributes positively to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage changing business priorities
