Optometrist Assistant at Express Vision

Express Vision

Job Description

Express Vision in Houston, TX is looking for one optometrist assistant to join our 11 person strong team. We are located on 12343 S Main St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
Verifying patient's insurance benefits prior to exams
Maintaining office cleanliness and organization of resources
Greeting patients, checking them in and out of appointments
Collecting co-pays and deductibles
Working up patients prior to seeing the doctor, including operating pre-testing equipment
Experience with insurances and medical billing is preferred but not required.
Dispensing contacts and glasses,

Qualifications

Proven experience working as a front desk agent or similar position
Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents
Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner
Time-management and organizational skills
Spanish Speaking is a plus
