Operating Room Registered Nurse - D/E/N Rotating Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Short Description: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule on call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs.

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to a diverse patient population undergoing surgeries in various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiac, and trauma at a level 1 trauma center. The nurse will operate in a high-demand environment utilizing advanced equipment such as Davinci robotic systems for surgical procedures and supporting a busy transplant program.

• Provide nursing care for patients in the operating room environment.
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical cases.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams across multiple specialties.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Assist in managing patient care during all phases of surgery.

• Valid RN License (New York state license ONLY).
• Two (2) years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in surgical cases.
• Telemetry experience is highly desired.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
