Infrastructure Engineer

SYSTEMTEC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions across complex network and server environments. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to ensure infrastructure deployments are secure, reliable, and aligned with established architecture and operational standards.

Required Qualifications of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience supporting enterprise server and network environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI.
• Experience using GitHub or similar version control tools.
• Knowledge of infrastructure deployment methodologies and change management processes.
• Experience evaluating infrastructure requirements and deployment impacts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Experience with enterprise-scale infrastructure implementations.
• Background in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or data center engineering.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Ability to explain network architecture and infrastructure design concepts in detail.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure deployments across multiple technical teams.

Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Analyze technical solution designs to identify infrastructure requirements and implementation needs.
• Evaluate the impact of infrastructure changes on enterprise network and server environments.
• Develop and maintain detailed deployment, build, and implementation documentation.
• Coordinate deployment activities with cross-functional IT teams and support implementation efforts.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in root cause analysis and resolution.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with established architecture, security, and operational standards.

Work Location: Hybrid schedule requiring onsite work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with additional onsite presence as business needs require in Columbia, SC.
