Warehouse associates are responsible for using an overhead crane to control the lifting, moving, and positioning of loads. They ensure that the load is safely attached and within the lifting limits, while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the crane. Additionally, crane operators will track inventory within their designated bay and load structural steel beams onto trucks based on order sheets.

Responsibilities

• Use an overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads securely.
• Ensure loads are safely attached and within lifting limits.
• Maintain and clean the overhead crane.
• Track inventory in your designated bay.
• Load structural steel beams onto trucks according to order sheets.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment, such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks.
• Prior experience operating an overhead crane is highly desired.
• Experience with RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ months operating a forklift, including sit-down, stand-up, or high reach.
• 6+ months of experience operating any type of heavy equipment.
• 6+ months of general warehouse experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a metal distribution center that is not temperature controlled, so the temperature inside reflects the outside conditions due to frequent truck movement. The center is relatively clean. Shifts are available from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for the first shift and 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM for the second shift. The team size ranges from 2-3 people, and the dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Omaha,NE.
