General Manager

Dynamic, long-term business! Rapidly growing Manufacturer. The company serves a diverse industry customer base with special focus on growing contracts for the Department of Defense. The next GM will be expected to honor the company’s culture while operationalizing the vision and strategy during this next stage of growth. Reports to the President/CEO of their holdings company. Position Summary This role will hold full-business leadership responsibility and will be accountable for strengthening operations, financial performance, leadership depth, and scalable processes supporting revenue growth from $30 to $45 million by 2028 across multiple facilities in Waukesha. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, high-energy leader bringing progressive manufacturing leadership experience and a talent for improving manufacturing performance, continuity, and aligning key business functions to support a scaling strategy. Key Responsibilities P&L and Enterprise Leadership: Own revenue, gross margin, EBITDA / EBT, cash flow, working capital, labor productivity, and capital investment performance. Operational Excellence and Multi-Site Execution: Facilitate ongoing and new facility expansion projects for increasing manufacturing footprint Lead the organization to consistently deliver safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer-service standards across all facilities. Capital Planning and Manufacturing Strategy: Lead capital planning for growth, automation, capacity, safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Lead implementation for key industry certification -CMMC; assist maturing culture and processes to support Customer Partnership: Partner with sales to support key account growth, and opportunities to align sales with manufacturing to operationally executable growth Cross-Functional Alignment: Create alignment between Sales, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and HR to drive organizational scale Develop Supply Chain to strengthen material availability, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and cost control. Build and develop a scalable leadership team across operations, quality, sales, finance, and HR. Culture and Leadership Develop and lead through Servant Leadership model Honor culture of living company core values Qualifications Required 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with emphasis on responsibilities in operations, multi-site operations, or full business performance. Direct experience in contract metal manufacturing with strong preference for experience in machining, stamping, and fabrication disciplines. Prior experience in roles responsible for P&L, budgeting processes, capital and capacity planning including operational KPI’s and continuous improvement. Customer-facing credibility and the ability to support Sales in strategic accounts Up to 10% other Midwest travel on occasion as needed Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field Some preference for MBA or other advanced degree; Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence certifications. Experience in high-growth manufacturing environment, and experience leading multi-site manufacturing teams through automation and capital investment installation.
