Technology Support Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Front Office Solutions Support Analyst to join our Rates & Credit technology team. This individual will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the firm's electronic trading ecosystem across global cash and derivatives markets. The role combines Level 1 production support with Level 2 functional and technical expertise, requiring strong knowledge of front office trading workflows, ION technologies, pricing and risk systems, and real-time trade processing. The candidate will work closely with traders, sales, operations, compliance, and technology teams to support mission-critical trading platforms that connect to more than 30 global exchanges and deliver real-time market data, execution, trade processing, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 production support while leveraging Level 2 technical and functional expertise to resolve complex front office trading issues. Support global Rates & Credit trading desks across both cash and derivatives products. Manage and support ION Trading technologies, including MMI, SysAdmin, ION API, component installation, configuration, and administration. Monitor and troubleshoot real-time trade processing, market data, pricing, risk management, and execution workflows. Support D2D/D2C gateways, market connectivity, and exchange integrations while resolving trader and client issues. Partner directly with traders and sales teams to support all pre-trade and post-trade execution activities. Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, connectivity, and data-related production issues. Analyze client issues to determine root cause and distinguish between application defects and configuration problems. Coordinate with development teams to recommend solutions and implement corrective actions. Serve as the primary support contact for internal users and external clients. Manage production incidents while ensuring timely communication and resolution. Participate in trading system enhancement initiatives across Compliance, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Client Onboarding teams. Gather functional requirements and act as a Business Analyst for trading system enhancements. Coordinate software implementations, releases, and deployments across global regions. Develop and maintain functional documentation, production support procedures, and onboarding materials. Assist with testing efforts, including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Train and onboard new users on trading platforms and associated workflows. Build and maintain an expert understanding of the firm's global trading platforms and vendor applications. Required Qualifications 8+ years of application development or production support experience within capital markets or electronic trading. Extensive experience with ION Trading technologies, including MMI, SysAdmin, and ION API. Strong knowledge of Front Office trading systems and Fixed Income trading workflows. Experience supporting Rates and Credit products, including both cash and derivatives. Hands‑on experience with Core Java and Java EE development. Experience developing or supporting distributed, low‑latency trading applications. Strong understanding of Pricing, Risk Management, Trade Processing, and TRACE reporting. Experience managing D2D/D2C gateways and market connectivity. Strong SQL/database knowledge. Experience working within UNIX/Linux environments. Familiarity with enterprise software architecture and Agile development methodologies. Experience with automated testing, unit testing, and software delivery best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting high‑volume electronic Fixed Income trading platforms. Knowledge of Straight-Through Processing (STP) and post‑trade workflows. Experience with low‑latency or real‑time trading systems. Exposure to enterprise CRM or vendor trading platforms. Experience working in global financial markets across multiple exchanges.
