Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle and follow all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload furniture at customer locations.
- Assemble and set up furniture as needed.
- Inspect items before delivery to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and required signatures.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties, inventory movement, and staging products when not making deliveries.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delivery discrepancies to management.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery, moving, warehouse, or furniture handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull furniture weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of heavy furniture.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while making deliveries.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
