Claims & Appeals Specialist (Healthcare Claims)

Hire Connections is hiring a Claims & Appeals Specialist for a well-established healthcare organization. If you have experience with claims processing, appeals, and complex claim resolution , this is a strong opportunity to take your skills to the next level.

 

Key Highlights:

• Handle complex claims and appeals (not high-volume processing)

• Work with COB, subrogation, and payment discrepancies
• Competitive pay: $30–$33/hour

 

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve claims appeals, adjustments, and disputes
• Research and correct payment discrepancies, overpayments, and denials
• Review claims using CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and policy guidelines
• Process adjustments including COB, subrogation, and reimbursement issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and claim tracking
• Communicate appeal outcomes clearly in writing
• Collaborate with internal teams and providers to resolve issues
• Support audits, reporting, and process improvements

 

Requirements:

• 3+ years of healthcare claims, appeals, or claims processing experience
• Strong knowledge of medical claims payment and reimbursement
• Experience resolving complex claims issues
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines

 

Pay:

$30.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
