divh2Lathe Machinist 2nd or 3rd Shift/h2pLathe Machinist 2nd or 3rd Shift/ppHastings, MN 55033/pp$35.00-45.00/hr/ppFullTime/ph3Job Description/h3pAbout the Opportunity:/ppJob Title: Lathe Machinist/ppPay Rate Range: $35.00-$45.00/hour/ppLocation: Hastings, MN/ppSchedule: 2nd or 3rd Shift (part time or full-time options) Monday-Sunday 4PM-12PM/ppPosition Type: Direct Hire/ppRequirements and Qualifications:/ppHigh School Diploma or equivalent./ppAbility to lift and move objects up to 50lbs./ppAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks./ppProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) specifications, and technical drawings./ppStrong knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and tooling geometry./ppExpertise in using precision measurement tools./ppFamiliarity with various CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas)./ppStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality./ppExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities./ppAbility to work independently and as part of a team./ppPreferred Qualifications (Optional):/ppExperience with G-Code and M-Code programming or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software./ppExperience with multi-axis or live tooling lathe machines./ppDuties and Responsibilities:/ppSet up and operate CNC lathes (including loading programs, tooling selection, offset adjustments, and fixture setup)./ppRead and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations, sequences, and dimensional specifications./ppPerform machine start-up and shut-down procedures./ppMachine parts to required specifications and within tight tolerances./ppMonitor the machine during operation, adjusting feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cut as needed./ppPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure parts meet quality standards./ppIdentify and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions or quality issues that arise during the machining process./ppPerform routine and preventative maintenance on CNC lathes to ensure optimal performance and longevity./ppMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety regulations and procedures./ppReplace worn tools and inserts as necessary./ppAdjust existing CNC programs (e.g., offsets, minor edits) at the machine control./ppAccurately complete all necessary production documentation, logs, and reports./ppDiscover Award Staffing: At Award Staffing, we believe that work should be more than just a paycheckit should inspire, empower, and create a sense of purpose.
