Summary of Position:

Hickenlooper for Colorado is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team. This role will be a key part of our finance team, working with various members of the team to execute a successful fundraising program. This position is through November 2026.

The ideal candidate has strong time and organizational management skills, an interest in political campaigns and fundraising, and is a team player. Other important skills are strong research skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Staff campaign events across Colorado as needed, including on evenings and weekends
• Build fundraising events through email and phone outreach
• Conduct donor research to identify new prospective donors and update existing donor database
• Create event invitations and Actblue pages
• Assist with donor acknowledgement program
• Make straight money calls to donors especially around fundraising deadlines
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Finance Director and other members of finance team

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest in Democratic campaigns and mission of reelecting Senator Hickenlooper
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Must be located or willing to relocate to Denver, CO
• Access to a cell phone and laptop
• Access to a car (and valid driver's license)
• Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed

Preferred, but not required:

• Previous campaign work or internship experience
• Experience working with NGP, ActBlue, Canva, Pingdex, and Google Suite
