IOP Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Auburn, Alabama patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide customer service. The role involves venipuncture and capillary draws for diverse patient populations, with a Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
• Enter patient information and process billing data accurately
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and maintain documentation logs
• Provide customer service and perform administrative duties; travel to additional sites as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from accredited agency
• Three months or more phlebotomy experience, or current certification
• Proven track record providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass color blindness test
• Comfortable working independently or in teams with minimal supervision
