Performs all duties of a Lab Assistant. In addition, procures an above average number of patient specimens, instructs phlebotomy/office trainees, inventories and maintains, phlebotomy and office supplies, and exhibits above average initiative and cooperation. Efficiently performs computer functions assigned to a Lab Assistant security level; competently performs downtime procedures. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or it equivalent (GED) Certification from one of the following: ASCPT, NCAP, or Hospital School of Phlebotomy certificate Organization Description Good Samaritan Medical Center (GSMC) is a 333-bed acute care hospital, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, that provides sophisticated, personalized and emergency medical care to Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast with over 100 years of experience.
