Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Conflux Systems is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Rockford, Illinois. We are looking for a highly skilled Critical Care RN with recent experience caring for Critical Care Unit (CCU) patients in a mid-to-large acute care hospital.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU/CCU.Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition.Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other physician-ordered treatments.Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient status.Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations.Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 2 years of recent ICU/Critical Care RN experience.Recent experience caring for CCU (Critical Care Unit) patients is required and must be clearly reflected on the resume.Previous experience in a mid-to-large acute care hospital required.Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced ICU environment.Required CertificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseAHA Basic Life Support (BLS)AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Assignment Requirements13-week travel contractMust be available to complete the full assignment.Must be available to work every other weekend.Must be available to work every other holiday.Candidate's permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
