Details MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week Rotating day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:30-7:30) shifts in 3x12 blocks Same shift pattern held for 4 weeks before rotating to the opposite shift Weekday shifts with some weekend requirements Floating required within the health system Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of RN experience with strong acute care background Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Skilled in respiratory care including chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), nasal cannula, and oxygen administration Cardiac monitoring experience including dysrhythmia interpretation, management, and use of rapid response/code teams Experience with isolation precautions and PPE IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including peripheral line and PICC line care and maintenance Experience with neurological/psychiatric patients and substance withdrawal management PCU experience not required 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor and the second acceptable from a Charge RN; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travel experience is not required Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently after signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if within driving distance RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of the hospital system are ineligible for a traveler role at any of its locations American Traveler Job ID P-772798.
