This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently.Job DutiesMaintaining equipment and performing scheduled PM tasksInteracting with other departmentsRepair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipmentMaintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the plantInspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance and operational standardsPerform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsHelping to develop/implement new methods and procedures for continuous process improvementDiscuss equipment needs and modifications with Maintenance ManagerWillingness to undergo any training for better maintenance procedures, to improve work performance, and to help understand company policies and proceduresParticipate in environmental compliance activities and maintain appropriate recordsHelp train new employeesAssist in writing documentation on equipment for procedure of trouble shooting and maintenanceEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.Experience RequirementsExperience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
