JOB SUMMARY:
Performs all registration duties including but not limited to checking in patients, insurance verification, answering phones, and other clerical work. Performs occupational medicine exams, and related components.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greets and registers patients.
- Answers and appropriately facilitates phone calls.
- Obtains pre-authorization from insurance companies for outside radiologic procedures/exams.
- Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team.
- Performs basic medical assisting/occupational medicine technician duties to ensure proper patient flow.
- Responsible for training/coaching new front desk staff on registration processes.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Friendly and outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
EDUCATION:
- Minimum High School degree or equivalent required.
