Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on an adult medical/surgical unit serving patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral health conditions
• Adapt to a varied patient population in a dynamic and evolving care environment
• Participate in charge, on-call, and callback responsibilities as determined by unit needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support both medical and psychiatric patient needs
• Contribute to the growth and development of a specialized, one-of-a-kind unit

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NY license only)
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an acute care medical/surgical setting
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a changing, growth-oriented environment
• Interest in pursuing dual-certification in medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing (eligible after experience requirement is met)
