Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a regional hospital in Grand Junction, CO.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department at a regional hospital in Grand Junction, CO
• 3x12-hour night shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Floating to other departments may be required within scope of competency and qualifications
• On-call may be required during regularly scheduled shifts
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Active RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active CO Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only); certifications must not expire prior to start
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides advanced-level respiratory care including diagnostic testing, arterial blood gas collection, protocol initiation, and medication administration
• Serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and other care team members
• Communicates patient progress and care recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other departments
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
• Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
• Former permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
