Details Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital, which includes 7 L&D beds, 14 Mother/Baby beds, and a Level 2 NICU/Newborn Nursery Patient ratios are approximately 2:1 for L&D, 6-8:1 for Mother/Baby, and 1-4:1 for NICU depending on acuity Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and labor inductions (cook cath, cervidil, oxytocin) Perform IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, epidural assistance, and foley catheter placement Use Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series fetal monitors, Monica monitors, and Ranger fluid warmers EMR systems used include Meditech Expanse and CPN (Centricity Perinatal) Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights) Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections Requirements Active KY RN license or compact license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, 5 years preferred Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (intermediate or advanced) Must be able to circulate for cesarean section deliveries US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Team-oriented personality preferred Facility provides scrubs for infant security purposes Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-748373.
