Carpenter II LeadMortenson is currently seeking a Carpenter II Lead that will be responsible for structural concrete construction in compliance with local building codes and general construction principals.ResponsibilitiesSet up trailersStudy blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensionsBuild decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures; install shelves, setup tool trailers/conex'sHand-set forms and assemble gang formsLead journeyman and assist foreman with shooting grades and elevationsUnload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materialsPerform concrete and rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks)Work autonomously under minimal direction from carpenter foreman to lead small crews in the safe execution of concrete workTrack quantities and hours to analyze production rates and report to carpenter foreman and superintendentIdentify material, consumables, and safety equipment needs well in advance to support proactive project planning with the assistance of carpenter foreman and superintendentBuild relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels; perform all other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of seven (7) years carpentry experienceTrade or technical school certification/diploma preferredAbility to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, and speak and understand EnglishStrong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
