Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA works collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to support rehabilitation goals and promote recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  
• Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional performance.
  
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
  
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient responses.
  
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety precautions, and home programs.
  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.
  
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  
• Current North Carolina PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Previous rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required
