Details Full-time, 0.9 FTE Night Shift position in a Mother Baby/Labor & Delivery unit 13-week contract assignment Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances Must be able to catch/transition newborns and act as Charge Nurse when needed Must be willing to float to other departments as a safety companion L&D experience including antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, and PACU preferred Schedule may require working beyond a standard workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts On-call availability may be required Requirements Active MT or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of experience required Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Current STABLE certification required Current NRP certification required, with recertification every 2 years Competence and willingness to practice modified primary nursing Ability to work in a busy, high-stress clinical environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Additional Information Provide comprehensive, collaborative nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of individualized patient care plans Promote a safe environment and support quality, evidence-based nursing practice Participate in ongoing professional development and stroke competency education, including two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease training within one year of hire and one hour annually thereafter Work collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, radiation, and emotionally challenging patient situations should be expected Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-746179.
