Registered Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for dental examinations
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments according to safety standards
• Perform initial oral screenings and review patient dental histories
• Identify oral health conditions such as gingivitis, dental caries, and periodontal disease
• Perform dental cleanings, including plaque removal and fluoride application
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed
• Assist dentists in evaluating and selecting appropriate treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Monitor and manage clinical supplies

Qualifications:

• Valid Dental Hygienist license (state-specific requirement)
• Diploma or degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
