Assembly Table Lead

Full-time

The Assembly Table Lead is responsible for leading a production team in the assembly of materials and components according to work orders and specifications. This role combines hands-on assembly work with team leadership, ensuring products are built accurately, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of guiding a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the assembly of materials and components based on work orders, drawings, and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly
  • Measure, position, and secure materials using hand tools and equipment
  • Ensure components are aligned, fastened, and completed to quality standards
  • Mark, label, and verify finished products for accuracy and tracking
  • Lead and support team members at the workstation to meet daily production goals
  • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to improve team performance
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and accountability on the production floor
  • Inspect work throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in materials or assembly
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality output
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and PPE
  • Identify and report safety concerns or hazards
  • Coordinate workflow at the assembly table to maximize efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in production processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
What you'll bring:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Ability to follow instructions and standardized processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
  • Prior experience leading or training team members
  • Familiarity with building materials or similar products
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs, occasionally more)
  • Comfortability with performing work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and equipment
  • Comfortability with potentially working in varying temperatures and conditions
  • Comfortability with exposure to machinery and production equipment
  • Ability to work extended hours based on production needs
