Staff Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree in a STEM field, with a preference for a munitions-related background.
• We need 1–5 years of experience working with the Department of War.
• You must hold an active Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.
• You should be proficient with Microsoft 365.
• You should be able to work effectively in a high-performing team.
• You must be able to commute to Arlington, VA as needed, typically 1–2 days per week.

• We serve as an engineering advisor and technical authority for mission-critical infrastructure, systems, and equipment.
• We apply scientific and engineering knowledge to evaluate requirements, define sound designs, and prepare preliminary and final design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and procurement packages.
• We support the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utility, and other mission-critical systems.
• We define functional needs, design and test components, analyze solutions, and integrate system elements.
• We assess overall design effectiveness, including cost, reliability, and safety.
• We design, analyze, configure, test, and troubleshoot systems while supporting projects, program management, development, evaluation, and life-cycle engineering activities in a specialized technical area.
• We conduct site surveys and investigations to gather the data needed before design work begins.
• We collaborate with stakeholders, communicate clearly, stay organized, and adapt quickly as priorities change.
