Makes regular rounds in the surgical suite and of speciality carts to anticipate outdated inventory./liliMaintains inventory PAR levels current keeping inventory current and rotated./liliProvides for the repair and prepares return goods memo for items received with hidden damages./liliNotifies OR Materials Manager of obsolete inventory./liliArranges storage space in an orderly fashion for delivery of supplies./liliProvides for the emergency needs of the department with reference to materials procurement./liliCollaborates with various departments of the hospital to ensure quality and safety of all supplies used within the department./liliAssists staff in providing in service programs relative to the use of materials and particularly new equipment./liliAssists in conducting evaluations of new products to promote quality patient care and cost containment./liliImplements systems that facilitate inventory exchange./liliAssists in the education of the staff in the use and care of equipment and supplies to insure proper economic and efficient utilization./liliFiles traveling requisitions by manufacturers and purchase orders when products have received with packaging slips./liliServes as an Operating Room Department Representative on committees as designated by the OR Materials Manager, particularly hospital evaluation and standardization committees./liliParticipates in accreditation and audit processes as designated by the OR Materials Manager./liliComplies with accreditation, regulatory bodies, commissions and Hospital Policies and Procedures in relation to the Operating Room./liliAttends all safety training programs and can describe responsibilities related to general safety, departmental service safety and specific job-related hazards./li/ulh3Qualification/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or equivalency/liliMinimum of 1-2 years of experience with Operating Room materials management and/or purchasing/liliStrong business acumen and communication skills/liliProficient with Microsoft Office Suite/li/ulh3Posted Salary Range/h3pUSD $26.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr./ppThe salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits./ppAt Catholic Health, we believe in a people-first approach.
