Bank Teller

TEKsystems is hiring for a Bank Teller (Branch Operations Specialist) for a credit union branch located in Newport, RI. As a Bank Teller, you will provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by the client including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; lending products; and credit/debit cards. Responsibilities Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration Perform platform banking functions and assists Level I team members Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services May assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing and balancing procedures May serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1‑3 years of recent customer‑facing experience and cash handling Knowledge in banking is preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Can work fully onsite in Virginia Beach, VA Demonstrate punctuality and maintain good attendance Skills Customer Service Cash Handling Payment Processing Account Management Banking Finance Data Management Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.82 - $21.82/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
