Pay Rate: $73.00/hr- on road

Shift Details

• Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

Qualifications

• The candidate must: Hold a current and unrestricted Alaska license as a Physician Assistant under 12 AAC 40.400 Hold a current unrestricted DEA registration authorizing the prescribing of Schedule II, III, IV, and V controlled substances Have at least two years of family practice or general practice experience Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories Diagnose medical conditions Order tests and X-rays Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications Perform minor medical procedures Consult with and refer patients to specialists when authorized Complete required documentation in the Department's electronic health record Provide after-hours telephone consultation when scheduled Pass the Department's background investigation and security clearance Work onsite at an on-road or off-road Alaska correctional facility Prior emergency medicine or correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
