Senior Cost Accountant

Vaco Atlanta ispartnering with an established and well-respected manufacturing organization in the Atlanta area that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a long-term contract engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cost accounting professional who enjoys working hands-on in a manufacturing environment and is looking to make an immediate impact. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost accounting, inventory, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while partnering closely with operations and other cross-functional teams. Hybrid Flexibility. Key Responsibilities Perform standard costing, cost analysis, and ongoing review of product and manufacturing costs Analyze manufacturing variances and identify key drivers and opportunities for improvement Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations Manage inventory accounting, valuation, and related analysis Support the month-end close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting Prepare and analyze financial reports related to manufacturing costs and inventory Partner with operations and cross-functional teams on cost reduction, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and other accounting projects as needed Qualifications 5+ years of cost accounting experience Strong manufacturing accounting background Demonstrated experience with standard costing Strong understanding of inventory accounting and valuation Experience with Oracle ERP or a similar ERP system Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and the ability to partner effectively with operations and other business stakeholders By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
