Building & Machine Maintenance Technician
Location: Davenport, IA
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday)
Pay: $18 and up an hour (Based on experience)
Status: Temp-to-Hire (Permanent transition potential after 3 months)

Job Purpose
You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our buildings, grounds, machinery, fixtures, and utilities. Working under supervision, you will ensure our production environment remains safe and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Assist in the installation and repair of production machines, fixtures, and facility utilities.
- Technical Execution: Work from plant drawings, machine layouts, and sketches using detailed instructions.
- Tool Operation: Utilize a variety of hand and portable power tools to complete tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team during equipment moves or large-scale installations.
- Site Upkeep: Maintain a clean work area and ensure all assigned equipment is kept in good working order.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a production environment with specific machine maintenance experience of at least 2 years.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use simple arithmetic (decimals and fractions) and interpret simple drawings.
- Precision Tools: Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and scales.
- Reliability: A solid work history (longevity on resume) is required.
- Compliance: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Physical: Requires sustained physical effort and continuous activity. You will frequently work with light to average-weight materials in a fast-paced environment.
- Visual/Mental: Requires constant alertness and diversified mental attention to ensure safety and precision.
- Environment: Typical machine shop conditions.
