divh2Head Cashier - Store/h2pHead Cashiers are to greet and thank every customer who enters and leaves the store. Head Cashiers must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavenders Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all paperwork associated with each cashiering entry. Head Cashiers are also responsible for keeping the store neat and clean and must always answer the phone with an enthusiastic response and professional manner. Head Cashiers will support our management staff with miscellaneous tasks like stocking, visual displays, special orders, and all basic house-keeping needs./ppSupport the Cavenders Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values/ppPerform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently/ppKeep work area neat, clean, and organized/ppBe knowledgeable about CBC policies and procedures/ppBe knowledgeable of all CBC cashiering transactions:/pulliCash Sales/liliCheck Sales/liliNon-taxable sales/liliCredit Cards/liliVoids/liliExchanges/li/ulpEnter all sales and monies in register at time of sale/ppHelp stock merchandise and straighten store as needed/ppSuggest possible add-on purchases to the customer and promote store specials/ppReport to work promptly, neatly groomed, and appropriately attired/ppBe security conscious at all times/ppProvide knowledgeable responses to phone inquiries (e.g. sales, promotions, store location, price, and inventory)/ppKeep updated on sale promotions (items/prices/etc.)/ppPractice inventory control on boots/ppCheck for boot mis-mates/ppFollow the company policy on all commission sales; validate all sales tickets/ppPerform all other miscellaneous duties as assigned/ppWork with supervisors to understand all actions needed to impact the desired goals set by the company (i.e. ADS / UPTs / Company or Vendor PMs)/ppJob requires associate to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during shift/ppAbility to comprehend basic instructions/ppAbility to interpret documents/ppAbility to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks/ppAbility to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond/ppAbility to analyze information and write reports/ppAssociate must be able to read English./ppAssociate must be able to understand English/ppAssociate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned/ppCavenders is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
