AP Specialist (Manufacturing) The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in our financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices and payments. This position upholds strong financial controls and fosters positive vendor relationships, directly contributing to the company's financial health and operational efficiency. You manage the flow of financial transactions, ensuring compliance and precision in every step. Job Duties and Responsibilities Processes a high volume of invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Manages vendor accounts, responds to inquiries, and resolves discrepancies promptly and professionally. Prepares and processes electronic payments and checks, securing timely disbursements. Posts financial transactions to the general ledger, ensuring correct coding and classification. Performs regular reconciliations of vendor statements and accounts, identifying and resolving variances. Utilizes ERP systems effectively for all accounts payable functions, maintaining data integrity. Applies advanced functions in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate reports. Executes precise data entry for all financial records, minimizing errors. Reviews and processes employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Assists with the annual preparation of 1099 forms, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role. Demonstrated experience with invoice processing and payment processing. Proven track record in vendor management and reconciliations. Knowledge/Skills Proficiency in ERP Systems for accounts payable functions. Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation. Strong understanding of general ledger accounts and coding principles. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Familiarity with processing expense reports and 1099 preparation. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective vendor and internal team interactions. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Works primarily in an office environment. Sits for extended periods, performing computer-based tasks. Communicates effectively through spoken and written word.
