Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.Job Responsibilities:Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.Optimize back end applications for maximum speed, reliability and scalabilityCollaborate with technical architect and Designers for new productsFollow and promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD and Continuously DeliveryResearch new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance across the organizationWork with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regionsAdvise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from Wealth Managers and Product SpecialistPresenting and demoing to users, stakeholders, and technology groupsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceDemonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and securityStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multi-threading, functional programming, distributed applications, client-server architecture8+ years' experience in Java development fluencyExperience in Core Java & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux & Spring Security frameworksExperience in Web UI development using ReactJS, TypeScript, Html 5, CSS 3Relational Database development skills including SQL and data modellingStrong experience building performant, scalable and reliable micro services, including high availability development and architectural practicesExperience with CI/CD pipelines with designing and building applications natively on AWS, utilizing key services such as AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, S3, Aurora, and API GatewayMust possess excellent analytical, problem solving, & decision-making skills.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:3+ years of technical leadership experienceExperience in Reactive ProgrammingExperience in DevOpsExperience with Kafka and RabbitMQFinancial Services industry experienceUnderstanding of Investment securitiesExposure to Atlassian tracking, collaboration and code quality tools
