Technical Writer II

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer II to write and edit technical reports, brochures, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and other technical and administrative publications. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be local to the area and able to report to the office if the team is required to return to an on-site work environment. U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must also be able to successfully pass a background check. Responsibilities Writing and revising documentation related to work methods, procedures, equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and service. Researching and analyzing technical literature, procedures, and source materials. Reviewing and verifying technical information with appropriate departments and subject-matter experts. Gathering technical information from supervisors, senior writers, engineers, and other personnel. Observing production, developmental, or experimental activities to verify and expand technical information. Reviewing manufacturers' catalogs, drawings, specifications, parts lists, blueprints, sketches, mockups, and product samples. Organizing technical information according to established standards for clarity, accuracy, conciseness, style, terminology, and presentation. Maintaining documentation, records, and revision histories. Selecting appropriate photographs, drawings, diagrams, charts, and other visual materials to support written content. Assisting with document layout, publication, duplication, and distribution. Coordinating with relevant departments to ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Drafting speeches, articles, public relations materials, employee communications, or other specialized technical content as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
