Ambulance Biller Team Lead

To enhance revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote Ambulance Biller Team Lead will manage outstanding insurance accounts receivable, address insurance denials and appeals, and identify process improvements while supporting team members in resolving complex issues. Key responsibilities Oversee follow-up on insurance and patient billing to ensure prompt payment and maintain workflow for aging accounts Document account activity and perform quality checks on assigned claims while meeting productivity and quality standards Investigate escalations and develop standard operating procedures to improve efficiency within the A/R Management team Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare claims processing, billing, or accounts receivable Ambulance biller certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment Hands-on experience with insurance appeals and familiarity with ICD-10 and HCPCS Proficiency with billing software and payer portals, along with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
