Customer Service Specialist

CS Automation is looking to fill a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This is primarily a remote position working from home; though employees in this role are welcome to come in and work at the office at any time, each team member has to work at the office one day a week, as part of a rotation. Essential Job Functions:

• Answer customer phone calls and respond to customer emails.
• Quote prices, availability and delivery options with a high degree of accuracy.
• File order acknowledgments, vendor acknowledgments, vendor quotes, and other electronic documentation as required.
• Work with production to schedule jobs and purchase components as needed.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to service customer requests.
• Receive orders and enter in Prophet 21 (Epicor) ERP system.
• Responsible for timely customer follow-up.
• Generate returns (customer & vendor).
• Strategically manage large and high-potential accounts.
• Expediting product to fill sales orders and production orders when needed.
• Monitor the status of customer orders, relay availability changes and relevant order updates as needed.
• Responsible for working in accordance with our documented quality system.
• Attend meetings as required at the office and via Teams.
• May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year wholesale distribution experience.
• Ability to learn and apply new information quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Strong computer skills, particularly basic Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Communicates professionally (verbal and written) and in a timely manner.
• Creative problem-solving skills and strong sense of urgency to meet customer needs.
• Assertive team player with positive attitude and ability to establish rapport and build relationships with current and potential customers as well as co-workers.
• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and self-manage.
• Prophet 21 or comparable ERP system experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of industrial pneumatic and automation products.
