Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric and newborn patients, spanning infant to geriatric ages, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care up to 28 days old
- Assess patient status, develop and implement individualized age-appropriate care plans, document assessments, interventions, and patient responses, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and IV fluids per policy; manage narcotics and unit supplies; ensure accurate charging and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team; supervise and coordinate care with other disciplines as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized unit; respond promptly to emergencies; educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license appropriate for California or eligibility to practice in the state
- Experience in Women's Care Unit or obstetric/newborn nursing as described in the job notes
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care for infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Comfortable working nights and participating in a 9-week travel assignment
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with the care team
