Speech Language Pathologist

Speech and Language Pathologist Provide evaluations and treatment for expressive and receptive language, feeding skills, and oral motor functioning in diverse settings. Develop and implement individualized service plans, consult with staff and families, and address developmental goals for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations of children on an individual basis. Communicate assessment results and assistive technology needs to families and staff. Determine and document assistive technology needs (adaptive toys, feeders, oral motor devices, augmentative communication). Provide individual therapy to enhance speech, language, feeding, and pre‑feeding skills. Develop instructional activities and home programs for parents and caregivers. Record daily progress notes and prepare quarterly reports. Write discharge summaries for children transitioning to the school system. Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, parent group meetings, and writing quarterly reports. Attend workshops to meet the 30‑hour professional requirement. Serve as resource on auditory perception, positioning, feeding, oral motor, and speech development. Protect the health, safety, and confidentiality of persons served, and advocate for their rights. Participate in training, committee work, and development of service plans as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech and Language and licensure in the State of Indiana. Minimum one year experience implementing therapy programs for special‑needs infants and toddlers or relevant practicum work. Minimum one year experience using evaluation tools for infants and toddlers. Registered/licensed with the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana. Enrolled in Indiana First Steps provider program. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to service locations. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills; creative, independent, with sound judgment.
