Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year neuro experience required License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with NIH stroke scale - Comfortable with various neurology diagnoses - Experience with neurosurgery patients - Familiarity with telemetry and neuro care Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse with neuro experience for day shift positions. This position will float between units as needed. Weekends are required, with every other weekend scheduled. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates should be well-versed in the NIH stroke scale and other neurological conditions. Experience with telemetry and neurosurgery patients is essential. The unit focuses on neuroscience, providing care for neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients. The facility is a designated stroke unit and is thrombectomy capable. Additional knowledge of procedures related to brain and spinal injuries is beneficial. Strong charting skills are necessary, with specific experience in Epic required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should be open to floating and supporting nearby facilities if necessary. This position requires commitment to working holidays, including Thanksgiving and New Year’s. All requests for time off should be submitted upfront. The role emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient care. This position is vital for maintaining the high standard of care expected in the unit.
