Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of industrial machinery and equipment through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. This role involves a broad range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance tasks in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The technician will work independently and as part of a team to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to established schedules and procedures. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions and breakdowns. Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems in a timely and efficient manner. Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, connections, and functionality. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs accurately. Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Identify and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Collaborate with production and other departments to address equipment issues and minimize disruptions. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Stay updated on technical advancements and best practices in industrial maintenance. Train production personnel on basic equipment maintenance tasks as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or mechanic. Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment. Basic welding, fabrication, and machining skills are a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and accessing technical information. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills: Experience with specific types of industrial machinery or equipment relevant to the employer's industry. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Certifications in relevant maintenance areas.
