Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Flexographic Printing or Converting Machinery. This role involves working with large paper rolls, ink, glue, and wax, ensuring the setup of formers, gears, and cylinders, and maintaining machine speeds.

• Set up and operate Flexographic Printing or Converting Machinery.
• Conduct setups that may take 3-4 hours.
• Work with large paper rolls, ink, glue, and wax.
• Set up formers, gears, and cylinders.
• Maintain levels of ink, glue, and wax.
• Maintain machine speeds.
• Troubleshoot the machines.
• Use hand tools, tape measure, wrenches, and screwdrivers for setups and quality control.

• Experience on Flexographic Printing Machines or Converting Machines.
• Experience in paper, plastic, cardboard, or film industries.
• Experience with large roll handling.
• At least 1 year of experience in production or manufacturing.
• High mechanical ability, including the use of hand tools and measurement.

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

The work environment consists of a warehouse with 40 machines, which can become hot during the summer as there is no AC. Operators may get dirty when manually feeding the machines and are required to wear ear plugs and steel toe boots on the manufacturing floor.

This is a Permanent position based out of Gurnee, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
