Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call PRN Low Census

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard nurse-to-patient ratios
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including participation in rapid response situations
• Administer medications including insulin and manage telemetry monitoring as needed
• Float within scope to like units to support facility staffing needs as required
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as directed, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Demonstrated skills in Med/Surg, telemetry, insulin administration, and rapid response
• Ability to work every other weekend and be available for on-call low census shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• ACLS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with MS/Tele or combined Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
