SAP RAR Solution Architect

Bay Area, CA (Hybrid/Onsite Preferred) 10+ About the Role We are seeking an SAP RAR Solution Architect / Lead to drive the end-to-end design and implementation of a greenfield SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solution as part of an ECC → S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE with SAP) transformation. This role requires a strong expert who can bridge finance/accounting and technology , ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 while delivering a scalable and high-performing revenue recognition architecture. Key Responsibilities Drive Fit-to-Standard workshops and define Key Design Decisions (KDDs) Configure RAR on S/4HANA — revenue accounting contracts, performance obligations (POBs), BRFplus decision tables, account determination, and posting logic for point-in-time and over-time recognition. Architect Adapter Reuse Layer (ARL) and design RAI (Revenue Accounting Items) integration from: SAP SD / Order-to-Cash (orders, billing), BRIM / FI-CA / external order systems Design the inflight-contract transition and initial-load strategy; define the migration approach for revenue data moving off ECC. Lead fit-gap analysis on complex revenue scenarios — bundled software/hardware/service deals, kitting and price re-determination, returns/credit-debit memo handling, and resource-related/project-based (WBS) billing. Ensure RAR sub-ledger reconciliation with FI-GL and COPA; validate G/L postings with accounting teams and support disclosure/reporting needs. Direct integration, regression, and UAT testing; lead cutover, go-live, and hypercare, including high-volume order conversion validation. Mentor functional/configuration teams and support pre‑sales activities (RFP responses, solution demos, orals) as needed. Required Skills and Experience Must-Have 10+ years SAP experience with strong SAP RAR expertise 2–3+ full lifecycle implementations in SAP RAR Hands‑on experience with: BRF+, ARL (Adapter Reuse Layer), RAI framework Deep understanding of: IFRS 15 / ASC 606 Strong experience in: OTC (Order-to-Cash) integration SD pricing and billing integration to RAR Expertise in: SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, COPA), Sub‑ledger reconciliation Preferred Experience with: RISE with SAP / S/4HANA Private Cloud SAP Activate methodology Exposure to: BRIM / FI-CA integration Subscription or high-volume revenue environments Industry experience in: High-Tech / Software, Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defense, Media / Entertainment Strong stakeholder management across: Finance (Controllers / Accounting), IT & architecture teams Ability to: Translate accounting policies into technical design, Drive executive-level conversations Proven experience leading Global teams and large-scale implementations #J-18808-Ljbffr SIMARN Solutions
