IPSB Deployment Team Member
The IPSB Deployment Team Member supports the deployment, migration, validation, and operational readiness of plant environments supporting the In-Plant Service Bus. The role investigates environment-specific settings and prerequisites, executes approved deployment workflows, validates environments running MQ Series and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and communicates build status, issues, risks, and readiness to technical and plant stakeholders.

Responsibilities include investigating and documenting required environment configurations; reviewing settings and dependencies; executing deployment, migration, and validation workflows; verifying MQ Series queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, connectivity, and health; validating ACE integration nodes, servers, message flows, and runtime status; and performing post-deployment checks. The role also uses Linux tools and commands to investigate services, processes, filesystems, permissions, logs, networking, and system health; troubleshoots and escalates technical issues; and maintains deployment records, checklists, and migration results.

The contractor will provide clear and timely status updates for environment builds, identify risks and dependencies, participate in readiness reviews and cutovers, and coordinate with plant personnel to schedule required downtime for migrations. This includes confirming maintenance windows, communicating downtime expectations, coordinating pre-checks and validation steps, and supporting recovery or rollback planning.

Required qualifications include hands-on Linux operating-system experience; experience with IBM MQ/MQ Series and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE); experience supporting technical deployments, environment builds, infrastructure migrations, or middleware implementations; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; and the ability to investigate configuration requirements and execute technical workflows accurately. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and plant operations.
Preferred experience includes manufacturing or plant-floor environments, deployment automation or shell scripting, Git or CI/CD workflows, formal change management, high-availability environments, and preparation of cutover plans, validation checklists, rollback plans, or operational handoff documentation.
