Responsibilities Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including but not limited to: related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities. Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills. Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes. Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. Program Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact: Experience leading or contributing to complex cross-functional initiatives, collaborating across FPD and the broader Caterpillar enterprise to support the continued growth and success of strategic programs, products, and customer offerings. Process Transformation & Innovation: Champions continuous improvement through the application of automation, AI, data analytics, and scalable process enhancements that strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and deliver meaningful business value. Analytical Insight & Executive Communication: Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights and recommendations, effectively communicating with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive business performance. Ownership, Governance & Risk Management: Takes accountability for critical financial processes and outcomes, proactively identifying risks, resolving complex issues, strengthening governance, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple stakeholders and business partners. Compensation & Benefits Summary Pay Range: $118,860.00 - $190,176.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
