Seasonal Travel RN – PACU

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care across multiple PACU bays, floating between Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery units as needed
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from a wide range of procedures including spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, robotics, TAVR, and interventional radiology cases
• Care for high-acuity patients including high neuro volume, stroke patients, and critical care overflow
• Maintain patient ratios in accordance with ASPAN standards, typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with up to 3 for same-day surgery patients
• Utilize GE monitoring equipment and document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs and patient care technicians across a combined Pre-Op and PACU environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or through Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care and/or PACU
• Current PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float between multiple PACU units within the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with stroke care and high neuro volume patient populations
• Flexible and outgoing personality well-suited to a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
