Maintenance Planner MX

Clean Harbors is looking for a Maintenance Planner to be located out of Bridgeport, NJ. The Maintenance Planner MX is responsible for maximizing operational profit through effective planned maintenance. Accountable for the daily preparation of work orders, parts availability inquiries. Schedules all maintenance in accordance with manpower and shop space availability to minimize delays and maximize asset availability. Will be required to travel up to 10% as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with internal and outsourced maintenance companies within the region and occasionally throughout the U.S. Create and manage fleet repair orders working closely with the Regional Hub Manager, Asset Management, and mechanics in assigned maintenance shops. Coordinate daily with the Lead Mechanics, Branches, and Mobile mechanics to schedule work into the shops. Work with Clean Harbors operational groups to target completion of fleet overdue inspections, recalls, DOT compliance, and campaigns. Follow repair process from creation to completion and communicate repair timeline status to all necessary parties. Track all repairs in the Clean Harbors Asset Management system including repair order notes, quotes, inspection forms, purchase orders, and final invoices. Facilitate maintenance repair requests with management, shop mechanic, and third‑party vendors. Participate in periodic planning meetings with the internal maintenance group and shop meetings. Review all repair quotations and identify areas where repair cost can be reduced or eliminated. Facilitate transportation of units in need of repair or maintenance as well as completed units being placed back into service. Assist coworkers with asset management and repair order system issues, credit‑card payments, purchase orders, and invoice inquiries. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years of experience in a Maintenance Planning or similar role. Project Management experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate verbally with all levels and functions of the organization, individually and as a team. The ability to read, understand, and apply technical information from manuals, books, drawings, and diagrams is required. Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Suite, Excel, and Project. Ability to stoop, stand for long periods, work at heights, handle with hands, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel 10% of the time as needed.
