Residential HVAC Estimator

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Residential HVAC Estimator in Middlesex, NJ to prepare cost estimates and proposals for residential HVAC replacement and new construction projects.

Impact

• Drive sales growth through accurate and competitive pricing

• Support customer satisfaction by providing detailed proposals and system recommendations

• Ensure profitability through thorough cost analysis and pricing strategies

• Build trust with homeowners through professional consultations

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home assessments and load calculations for HVAC systems

• Prepare detailed proposals including equipment selections and pricing

• Recommend appropriate HVAC solutions based on home size and customer needs

• Present proposals to homeowners and answer technical questions

• Coordinate with sales teams on pricing and system options

• Review architectural plans for new construction estimates

• Maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and distributors

• Track estimate conversion rates and adjust pricing strategies

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 3+ years of HVAC estimating or sales experience

• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC equipment and systems

• Proficiency with load calculation software (Manual J)

• Excellent customer communication and presentation skills

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice-to-Haves

• NATE certification or HVAC technical training

• Experience with energy efficiency programs and rebates

• Knowledge of ductwork design and Manual D calculations

• Estimating software experience
